今週のウィークエンドセールは核戦争後の世界が舞台の「Fallout」シリーズが大幅値引きされています。
値引きはされていないものの先日シリーズ最新作となる「Fallout 4」が電撃発表され、既にSteamでは予約も始まっています。「Fallout 4」までに過去作をプレイしておきたいところです。

今週の注目タイトルは「Hatred」。俯瞰型のバイオレンス・アクションゲームです。
昨年発表されたタイトルだったのですが、そのあまりの残虐性にトレーラーの公開が中止になってしまった話題作です。
主人公は長髪の男。ストーリー冒頭に「名前は重要じゃない、これから何をするかが重要だ」という台詞を残し、彼が向かう先は街なか。彼のターゲットは、まさかの一般市民。主人公を操作し、逃げ惑う人たちを次々と撃ち殺していきます。使える銃もライフルからショットガン、ハンドガンにロケットランチャーと幅広く使え、また火炎瓶や手榴弾も装備済み。
そして、そんな銃火器で撃たれうずくまっている人たちに、しっかりとどめを刺す。彼は迷うこと無く大量虐殺を行なうのです。
世界観も大変独特でモノクロの世界を上から見下ろすスタイル。そんなモノクロの世界に唯一映えるのは炎やパトカーのランプなどの赤のみ。その色合いがまた不気味さを一層濃くしていきます。
各ステージごとにメインミッションがあり、そのメインミッションをクリアするとステージクリアとなります。また、サブミッションが幾つか用意されており、サブミッションをクリアしておくと残機が増え、もし死んでしまっても、サブミッションポイントから復活できます。もともと一度死んでしまうとステージ最初からやり直しなので、サブミッションをクリアしていくことをオススメします。
公式でもこの主人公は悪役であるとはっきり明言されています。ヒーロー物には飽きた、ハッピーエンドじゃつまらないというあなた、悪役になって街を恐怖で染めてみてはいかがですか？
